This Earth Day poster let me dive into layered composition and photo manipulation. The challenge was making something that felt organic and meaningful instead of just another decorative piece. For this assignment, we had to combine 5 photos from Unsplash to build the poster.
Getting five separate images to work together as one was the challenge, but the more I layered them, the better it came together.
I built the composition using a set of natural photos: earth, grass, moon, space, and trees. Each one was carefully masked and blended to create a seamless world that pulls the eye upward from ground to sky. The result is a poster that feels grounded and expansive at the same time, a reminder of what we're working to protect.
The final piece came together in Photoshop with a lot of attention to color grading and texture blending. This project pushed my compositing skills and gave me a solid foundation in editorial print work.
