Mira Mesa Football Helmet Design

When we went in to get my brother's letterman jacket made, he asked the shop owner if we could put a Mira Mesa football helmet on the back. The owner said they didn't have one on file, but if we could send over a logo or design, he'd put it on.

I asked what file format he needed, an ai, svg, or eps, or if a png or jpeg would work. He asked if I was into graphic design, and when I said yes, he asked me if I could design a Mira Mesa football helmet, get my brother's approval, then send it over so he could embroider it on the back.

That night I researched what the actual Mira Mesa helmet looked like and started tracing it out. I brought my brother a first draft, and he asked for the Riddell logo at the top and a few things repositioned. After a couple more revisions we landed on a final version he loved, and I sent the file to the shop.

Six weeks later the jacket was ready! My brother really loves it, and he is the only one who's ever had a Mira Mesa football helmet on the back of a letterman jacket. He gets compliments on it constantly, and it was a lot of fun making something like this for him.
