Hello! I'm Drew Kanuha, born and raised in San Diego, California. I attended Mira Mesa High School and now study Graphic Design at Miramar College, with plans to transfer to San Diego State University.
Growing up, I've always had a passion for creating things both digitally and physically. Whether I was sketching or playing with free online design apps, I loved the freedom of making something from scratch. I also enjoyed hands-on projects, like building a door clip to keep an unsecure door closed, or creating a cover plate for an automated light switch.
"It wasn't until my junior year of high school, when I took my first graphic design course, that I realized how much I loved this field. It opened my eyes to the tools and techniques that help bring ideas to life, and then it clicked."
In my senior year, I was 1 of just 24 students in the only Adobe-certified graphic design class in Southern California, earning certifications in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Visual Design. Now I'm constantly building on those skills, creating across Adobe programs, Procreate, and other platforms, always eager to learn and bring fresh ideas to life.
