T-shirt designed to support the Mira Mesa Marauders Football team as they travel to Hawaii to play their first match of the 2026 season.

For this project, I designed a t-shirt with a front and back design for my family to wear in support of my brother's football team, the Mira Mesa Marauders, on their trip to Hawaii. It was the team's first time there and their first game on the island, so I wanted something that actually marked the occasion and gave us a way to remember it.
The front design blends Hawaiian inspiration with the school's identity. I researched traditional Hawaiian patterns and worked them into the shape of the school's M logo, then added small carved details and rounded corners so it felt more like wood than a flat, standard mark. I also studied a range of tiki face designs and used them as reference to create an original one for the shirt.
This one wasn't for a client or a brand, it was for my brother's team on their first ever trip to Hawaii, so it needed to actually feel personal and worth wearing.
The back design builds off a helmet graphic I originally created for my brother's letterman jacket. I refined the artwork, sharpened the colors, and made it read more like a true football helmet, then duplicated and adapted it to represent Castle High School's team. I added "Marauders vs Knights," along with the game's date and location, and worked in more of the Hawaiian patterns along the sides.
Overall it came together really well, and my family loved how the designs turned out.
