A fictional book cover, matching short story, and book signing poster, designed from cover to campaign.
This was another assignment from my Honors Graphic Design teacher, where the challenge was to create a fictional book cover design along with a short story to match. The ultimate goal was to design a book signing poster featuring ourselves holding our book, which made the project feel extra fun and unique. I really enjoyed it because it gave me a small glimpse into what real authors and designers might experience when promoting their work.

For my book cover, I went with a simple, cartoony style by using clean, basic shapes and even including an image-traced picture of my dog for a personal touch. I designed the cover spread in Adobe Illustrator and laid it out in Adobe InDesign to bring everything together.
Once the cover was complete, photos of me holding the book were taken, along with solo shots of the book itself. I then combined everything in Adobe Photoshop, added text, and finalized the book signing poster. Overall, I'm really proud of how the final product came together, and it was such a fun project that let me explore both storytelling and design in a creative way.
